"It was also worried the weapons could be smuggled to terrorists, gangs or other people with bad intentions." How many lives must be lost to gang-bangers and their damned M1 rifles?! Those rifles are light and too easy to conceal! /s

Can you imagine what that would have done to the price of one? Instead of going for $700+, they would actually be affordable. I hope South Korea takes good care of them untill they can dump them on us!

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
Obama wants subjects.

I wonder, could an enterprising South Korean set up a 'parts supply' business and mail order the parts? I could use some 'parts' for my kitchen appliances. :^)

Is 0bama hoping to sell them to his friends fighting our troops in the Middle East?
That would be consistent with his previous behavior patterns.

Iran about to get nukes and 0bama doesn’t lift a finger. Americans about to get collectible rifles and an administrative roadblock is erected immediately. Very telling...

“The greatest battle implement ever devised.”
- Gen. George S. Patton Jr. on the M-1 Garand
Thsi is so sickening and so repetitive. First Carter, then Clinton, and now Obama want to slap our faces while denying us access to these great U.S. made weapons. Bet they’d all love to be there when the “Captain Crunch” machine turns these fine arms into chewed up scrap.
Thank goodness I’ve got my Garand. Built it in 2000.
All praise to our self-proclaimed Dear Leaders!
(Grrrrr....!)

“These self-loading were rifles introduced in 1926 and 1941.”
No friggen way on the 1926 date. Maybe 1936 for the Garand.
