Multiply the Greek Orthodox experience by many many 10’s of thousands of Christian churches and schools that have been denied their “right” to build because of public comment. There has been no call for public comment in the case of the Victory Mosque, as far as I know.
It is not “emotionalism” that stands against the Victory Mosque, it is legitimate public interest. Legitimate, at least, in the way it is interpreted against Christian institutions.
More and more, their marriage is looking like it was of the Carville-Matalin variety. I thought the other day that Barbara must be spinning in her grave. Then I had the horrific thought that that poor woman, like others, HAS no “grave,” except the one that is on the verge of being desecrated.
I agree with you. I hate that they are building it there and I wish they wouldn’t, but I understand they have every right to do it. I also think they are slapping a giant target on their heads and wouldn’t be surprised if some loon blew the place up.

I lived in a Muslim country for a couple of years. At the post office, there is no such thing as waiting your turn in line. They just edge right in—right in front of you. It used to burn me up. By the time I finally got to the counter, I was absolutely fuming. Their business is SO much more important than yours, I guess.
Their traffic consists of pounding on the horn and every man for himself. There is no orderliness or procedure to it—it makes someone like me nuts.
He is in his second or third childhood, I think. Loves the ladies and hot, fast sports cars. Hang it up, Ted.
