It's one thing for Obama to support the mosque at ground zero, it's another for the former Solicitor General under the Bush Adm. whose wife was killed on the plane that was hi-jacked and crashed into the Pentagon on September 11th to support it...Olsen says: "We don't want to turn an act of hate against us by extremists into an act of intolerance for people of religious faith"...(Video)

I was disheartened to learn it was Olson who was the attorney fighting for the overturn of the voter's of California. I remember fondly his wife and the sadness of hearing of her murder by terrorists.
I don't want the mosque built anywhere near the WTC site, but I also don't totally disagree with TO on this issue. My reason is not his weak tolerance bs, but a fear of my own federal government.
I want the mosque stopped, but I don't think I want the government deciding which religions are approved for any area. This is the extreme ugly case that makes it hard for us to give rights to evil and idiots, but it is not the role of any government to pick the approved religion to do what they want to a building.

I AM objecting to them having what you call “as Islamic Jihad Center”! At Ground Zero or anywhere else in New York
and there WON’T be! This issue has the potential to create more civil strife than ObamaCare, CapandTrade, Illegal Immigration, and suing AZ. put together.
There will be NO Islamic Headquarters in New York or anywhere else in this country.
They try it anywhere else, and there will be 97% OPPOSITION!

Now why in the world would anyone expect anything different coming from one who was appointed by “Islam is the religion of peace” Bush? Had he thought in any way different than a Bush he never would have been appointed to his position to start with. I don't know why people act so shocked when Liberals act like Liberals as if the magical -R somehow will automatically mean Conservatism.

Ted's hard left is more evidence that a good portion of W's team were closet liberals.
We need Dick Cheney to get well and set 'em straight.

Oh, cut it out. Olson was Asst. Attorney General under Reagan before he was anything and up to a few years ago was only involved in conservative issues. Was it it with you people and Bush? Give it a rest.

You would have never seen that from Reagan, so it response, why don't you give it a rest?

Yes, we would have seen TARP from Reagan, because Reagan wouldn't have allowed the international economic structure of the entire World to collapse either, which was what was at stake. Did you read any financial reports or predictions of the the '08 international market?
Oh, that's right, you're just a Bush-hater and have no idea WTF you're talking about. Never mind.
