Here is video of an ad by GOP (and Conservative Party) candidate for Congress (New York’s 1st Congressional District, Long Island) – Randy Altschuler – opposing the building of the Ground Zero Mosque. Altschuler says this is not about “freedom of religion,” it is about not sending the wrong signal to “terrorists” and not dishonoring those who died in the September 11 attacks.

I met a Black man this morning who was so pro Mosque. He said the Mosque had every right to be near the Ground Zero site because Muslims died there too. I told him he was entitled to his opinion, but it was insenstive to put a 13 story Mosque so close to Ground Zero.
Mark my words. The day that the ribbon is cut on this Mosque, Al Jezeera will play a tape from Osama Bin Laden praising it.
But, as long as scum sucking politicians like Bloomberg, Obama and the Dems are around to give their approval of this mosque, we have to ask if the people are REALLY going to do anything??? Have we allowed our political elites to emasculate us and hypnotize us into believing that they have all the answers???
I do believe you are correct about a tape from Bin Laden praising the Mosque. Last night on a local NYC news channel there a Muslim man saying, “This spot is causing so much pain, move it elsewhere. We just want a place to pray.” Watch that guy be stoned to death.
