My Fitna: Where is Donald Trump on Ground Zero Cordoba Initiative (Park51)?

Somebody please get a message to New York developer and fame-hound Donald Trump. Here is a way to do two things he is great at: 1] Stay forefront in the media eye with a hugely popular topic (the Mosque at Ground Zero), 2] Gather investors for a NYC real estate project.

The way I understand it is that the Imam Rauf's Cordoba Initiative, now renamed as the much more benevolent-sounding Park51, requires that the old Burlington Coat Factory (not an historic landmark, mind you) AND the adjacent property owned by ConEdison be acquired. Here's an idea: Use capitalism and the courts to foil those who would force this Islamofascist end-zone dance upon all of us.

Outbid Rauf on the ConEdison deal while there is still time. I don't care what it takes, $10 from every American who cares, millions from rich investors, simply go $1 more than the presumably less-than-friendly-to-America Persian and/or Arab backers of Rauf's plan. You know who I mean, the money sources he refuses to disclose.

ConEdison would have a fiduciary duty to accept the best deal on behalf of its shareholders. The result may be just as much (fitna) mischief-making as Imam Rauf himself has encouraged: failing at bid, investors would have legal standing to tie this up in court for as long as it takes. No withdrawal date given in this case.

Welcome to the American way, jackwagon! You like your obvious rights here that the President is so fond of reciting for you? You have more obscure rights actually. You have the right, Imam Rauf, to respond to legitimate real estate bids and legal actions brought against you and your troupe.

Let's have a bidding war and see whose pocketbook is bigger!

I would understand if Donald Trump might fear Islamic retaliation, they may boycott his casinos after all, or maybe Mayor Bloomberg and the President have signaled "right policy" and he may want to step in line. There are probably a hundred Trump replacements ready to step up and make a name on this. They may even get their own reality show.

All I can say is, OUTSTANDING IDEAS from TOP to BOTTOM!
(And yes, it is surprising that Trump has apparently neither been asked nor volunteered what he thinks of this
“Real Estate Deal in Progress”.

Any enterprise that dares to displace the Al-Obama Mosque better have a 24-hour bomb squad.

A novel idea, if I ever heard one. I like the idea of everyone donating a little to contribute to fight this. Why not organize something? You’ve got the right idea. :)

The Donald might have deep pockets, but Saudia Arabia has deeper ones.

Donald Trump has particular issues; getting involved in politics makes his land deals subject to political influences, and he generally tries to avoid it. Trump has put his hat in the ring to rebuild the UN, rebuild the World Trade Center, and a few other projects, and public reaction has been minimal.

Odds are that if his press contacts were reached, they’d have a few ideas on what would be the best way to get Trump involved, as if he answers the public’s call, rather than stepping by himself, it’ll be far different.

30 million concerned citizens, let’s say, at $10 each is $300 million by the New Math, or 3 million at $100, or for that matter, 300,000 at $1,000. That is about 3 times what I understand Imam Rauf has under management. Saudis or Ahmadiwannajihad may come with cash to rival that, but a lawsuit against a high bidder would lead to discovery of exactly who did the funding. You don’t get to play “hide the ball” with most courts and judges the way you can play coy with media inquiries. As Andrea Tantaros began to say, in essence, let it be discovered that even 50 cents came from Hamas or worse (is that possible?) and this thing goes fusion.
