Never saw that one, is it worth a rental?
By far the most terrifying vampire movie I’ve seen is “30 Days of Night.” My God, what an absolutely horrifying film...

At some point in the movie did the beast reach up through a toilet while a girl was "sitting" there? I remember that scene clearly but I don't know what movie I saw it in. Was that "The Legend of Boggy Creek"? Thats the one. Except the bigfoot broke through the bathroom window while she was on the toilet.. did not come up through the toilet. Saw it at the drive in as well, but was old enough to be allowed to lay on the hood of the station wagon and watch the whole thing! I think the first feature was the seven ups... good times, despite the mosquitoes.

That’s good stuff. Saw that to as a teen and the fear factor wore off and the silly factor kicked in.

OMG, I can’t believe that anyone else was as creeped out by the Wizard of Oz as I was. Ohhhhh, the flying monkeys sent me running to my bedroom. So did the Lion walking, shaking and crying all the way up to see the Wizard! Nice to know it’s not just me!

I reread the book recently. I think it’s even scarier than the movie.

The Crawling Hand
I remember watching this when I was 4 or 5. We lived over seas and didn’t get much American TV...don’t know why this was on. Anyway, it was late at night and my older sister and I were allowed to stay up and watch it....big mistake! I haven’t seen it since then. I was terrified for a long time and slept with a light on until early teens.
Here is a brief description of the movie I found online.
(1963) After an astronaut is blown to smithereens in outer space, his arm washes ashore on a California beach. Hitching a ride in a pre-med student’s car, it’s soon strangling all his visitors.

Prophecy 1980!
Believe it or not, I actually have the paperback on a shelf four feet from me, written by David Seltzer.

I don't know if I'd say it's worth a full price rental. It's a low budget flick from 1979. In fact, I think it was a made-for-TV 2-part mini-series. However, if they've got a 99 cent deal or something and you're bored, it might be worth a look.
