Iphone users get more sex :P
Why? It’s text based. Can’t you just use a browser? Or an RSS feed?
If I knew what it was I’d probably agree with you.
I’ve been playing around with creating a Droid and iPhone apparently, I just haven’t had much time.
Oops apparently should be app. Droid autotext
my droids flare up once in a while and causes itching and burning.
Dude. You have a $500 phone and you can’t freep? I do the most on my old blackberry 8330.
Yeah you can at least read the articles. Any phone is hard to type something in with. Keyboards are two small for us over 50 types.

Yep, 9700 bold here. Piece of cake
Google already catches every thread you look at on Free Republic (look at the Google-Analytics script). Why would you want Android to report back any more data?
Google never deletes any of your activity and ties it all together, including your YouTube views.
Google’s staff donates 99% to liberal politicians only. And you as a “conservative” want to help them track your behavior more closely?
Sure, an app need not directly send something to Google, but Google refuses to open up the full Android codebase. We know it is in the business of recording what we do and it makes the handsets use Google to suggest words and URLs in real-time, determined on what your activity has used in the past. Who knows what your phone actually will do?
It should be a scary thought.
I don’t know about the Droid phones but iPhones are just fine in Safari.
I use an HTC Droid Eris (on Verizon) and the built-in browser works great on FR. I have to resize it occasionally (generally pushing the sidebars off the screen), but have never had a serious issue otherwise. As long as the thread I’m reading isn’t *too* heavily loaded with pictures, it’s perfectly functional to browse on the phone, just a bit slow (which isn’t FR’s fault, really, it’s an entry-level phone and Verizon’s network isn’t that fast).

Using an HTC Evo here without any problems...an Android app would be great for pushing content to the device, but I manage.
I use the Evo as well with the Opera browser and it’s easy to do anything and everything. *shrug*
Hell, I’ll use the app if someone makes it but it seems like a lot of work for little benefit.

The Droids are going to take over the world.
Ever see iRobot?
I’ve been thinking of writing an HTML scraping Blackberry app that would ping me whenever I had fresh posts sent to me. That wouldn’t be so useful in itself. But the knowledge about the OS and the programming environment gained in the process would be.
