Err, no. Some off brand webpage claims that the prosecution made a statement that could be a threat, or a bad joke. I doubt very much anything like this occurred, and if it did, its the best news LTC Lakin has had in the past six months. Because a reversal of his (imminent) conviction, for prosecutorial misconduct, is the best chance he has of retiring with some kind of pension.
I do not believe he is concerned about his pension. As difficult as this may be to understand, the man is acting, if his words are to be believed, out of a commitment to do what is morally correct, and in the process placing his personal interests at risk. A reversal would not satisfy his concerns.
