Kiplinger has the anecdote for the venom of apathy. Kiplinger has a storied history calculating the probability of death at specific places, situations, and activities with their unparalleled actuary competence, and are responsible for formulating the complex algorithm for the probable death index (PDI). Kiplinger made national headlines for the first time during the early stages of the Obama presidency. Dick Cheney had a secreted bunker to protect the life of the vice president in the event of catastrophe, which was so covert and clandestine it was the standard of 0.0 on the Kiplinger PDI. After Joe Biden decided it would be a grand idea to tell whomever would listen at the Gridiron Club dinner that the bunker was underneath the old U.S. Naval Observatory, the bunker's Kiplinger index was raised to 1.9 post-haste.

Lagos, Nigeria is not on the list?
The times that I have been there my company does not want us to travel in the city without armed guards.
I don’t think I would need those guys in Tempe or Flagstaff.
I just returned from a business trip to Detroit. The number of abandoned homes (vandalism, fire, neglect) was astounding.
The number of people just roaming the streets or sitting on porches (in the middle of the day) was amazing.
Most of the streets are suitable for off-road vehicles only as the potholes and neglect are everywhere. There were chunks of concrete on the roads (thrown there by citizens).
Abandoned schools, churches and other buildings were completely vandalized. Not one window was intact, even on the highest floor of some buildings.
The old train station on Michigan Ave is a testament to this city’s decay.
Here is a link to a very high-resolution picture. Look at what they have done to this incredible piece of architecture.

Hey Jim, this is great. I just tweeted your post! My followers are as paranoid as I am.
There were brand-new government homes with boarded-up windows all in a row. Nobody living there.
Whole neighborhoods had only 1 or 2 homes with actual people living in them.
This is the testament to unions colluding with government and nobody giving a damn.
Amazing picture...thanks for posting...not only is the building dilapidated but from the looks of it it's also getting hit by Chem-Trails! (Note the sky above the building). That could explain a lot about Detroit in general. ;)
