Thats strange Weve been fighting the Taliban for 9 years in Afghanistan but the Obama Administration recently removed them from the list of terrorist organizations.
Could Team O really be this confused?
US State Department List of Terrorist Organizations
(GRAPH AT LINK)
The Daily Caller reported:
A new State Department report designating terrorist organizations notably excludes one group: the Taliban. The U.S. has been fighting a war in Afghanistan for almost a decade aimed at defeating the Taliban, Taliban members repeatedly have threatened and killed American citizens and lawmakers have increased pressure on State to add the Taliban to the list.
Earlier this summer, a group of congressional Democrats sent a letter to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton urging her to begin the process of categorizing the Taliban as a terrorist group. In June, Sens. Charles Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand of New York and Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez of New Jersey proposed legislation that would immediately add the Taliban to the terrorist list.
Yet the State Departments report (due on April 30 but released last week), did not include the Taliban with groups such as al-Qaida, Hamas and the Real Irish Republican Army (RIRA). To qualify, an organization must meet only three criteria: It must be foreign, it must engage in terrorist activity and its activity must threaten the security of the U.S. or its citizens.
It is hard to imagine this agency can see fit to issue a report that doesnt include the Taliban groups, Fred Gedrich, a foreign policy analyst and former State Department employee, told The Daily Caller. They have killed more Americans and conducted more terror attacks on innocent civilians during the past 12 months than any other terror group.
Maybe Team O still believes these guys are moderate. Did they already forget that these so-called moderates planted a car bomb in New York City back in April?
I never pretended that.
I’m getting to where I consider the Obamaloon group of clowns to be a greater enemy than the Taliban.
I thought I read here just the other day that - amazingly - they were never on it.
Preparations for forthcoming negotiations. Odumbo is going to give up Afghanistan.
If the Taliban isn’t a Terror group then they must be a legitimate military under the protections of the Geneva Convention. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
They are setting this up to make a deal with these people.
My wife and I were talking last night about the disaster that is Obama, and specifically about the inexplicable insanity of his foreign policy, and I swear it just exploded out of me... just what you suggested. Nothing else makes as much sense.
Hey, the guy has to make room on the list for constitutionalists, Ron Paul supports, soldiers returning from active duty, etc.
The thirteen hundred year with islamic usurpation is lost.
Yup, prepare for more of our money to go to funding Pakistan, Iran and the Talieban.
Not only money. Technology. Weapons.
All to aid Barry’s brethren and the downfall of America/ the “West”.
Its the war that’s lost. Islam has one goal - to eradicate Christianity and to dominate the globe. Americans are too punch drunk and slap happy to read the writing on the wall.
That’s because he’s fighting the Tal-Y-Ban in his RAY BANS (no doubt he thinks they’re Republicans).
There was a thread on this yesterday, where the article said that there was a request going back to the Bush Administration State Dept in 2007 to put the Taliban on the terror list, but that it never happened. I think this perhaps points more to incompetence in the State Dept as it does to the treachery of the Moron-in-Chief.
You did. I read the same here yesterday, that the Taliban has never been on the State Dept's terror list.
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (itll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.

Not really weird.
He’s replaced the list of Moslem terror organizations with a series of clubs and societies the members of which are normal, everyday Americans - mostly Republicans, of course.
Hey, the government payroll has limits, and you can’t watch everybody at once. Even the president has to prioritize.
