This business with temperature spikes shows up frequently in the airport station at Bloomington, Illinois.
Sometimes it's in the 300s, and there have been 600+ degree events.

"You can’t even make sense of it invoking the Rankine scale!" I don't have a problem with it.
I just picture it as happening on one of my floating cloud cities of Venus, and somebody's lost another temperature probe due to balloon failure.
Besides, in that scenario, global warming is believable!

Yeah, the NOAA “official” opinion made its way into one of the electric utility industry’s weekly information memos. They’re pushing this BS to the hilt. Too bad so many young people are completely unaware that this is such a huge hoax.
