On principle, I’m annoyed with both representatives. As a pragmatic matter, though, I’m inclined to be more forgiving of Cao than Castle.
Cao is the first Republican to hold Louisiana’s 2nd District seat since Hamilton Coleman in 1889. He’s also looking strong for re-election despite almost universal predictions (including my own) that he’d be a one-termer for sure. With a situation like that, a guy who votes with the GOP 82% of the time is probably about the best conservatives could realistically hope for.
Castle, though? Pfeh. O’Donnell is twice the candidate he is, and is a genuine conservative to boot. Pack your bags, dude.
