A Hamburg newspaper, Die Welt, reported in a clear text format that the urgent flee of German diplomats from Russia was caused by radiation approaching Moscow.

SO, how slow does radiation move? :)

Russians die in great numbers in Moscow [15:52] An absolute record of mortality, 449 Russians, has been established in Moscow on August 8. If such death rate continues, more than 13 thousand Muscovites could die from heat and smog in one month. - We are shocked by such numbers, but they are true, told the head of one of the capital's ambulance stations. ...

Considering the source, I’d like some confirmation.

Ahh, just like the good old days of Kremlinology. With the official news heavily censored the most bizarre of rumors take flight.

If it's bacteriological or viral, then it's probably spreading worldwide with the evacuation going on now.

I'm just saying...

Me too, but you have to admit that, based on past experience, when the Russkies decide to have an industrial disaster, they don't screw around!

I talked to a friend of mine about 15 minutes ago. He is a PhD in Cellular Physics out of Poly Tech on Moscow. He confirms through friends in Moscow that things are A LOT WORSE that is reported. I will keep everyone posted as more information comes in.

You got it. We are just 3 days from the tenth anniversary of
the Kursk accident, and you know how well they handled that.

The story says it’s a combination of multiple fires all over the place from people playing with firecrackers.

What say some Chechens are taking advantage of the dry weather to get back at whitey?
