The opposition won’t respond. The ones with intelligence will marginalize by their observation “Well, at least it was introspective”.

If their response is as you say, then that will encourage me to be a little more of a... hard ass... with this. I try to start with “being reasonable,” but I am seeing more and more that you’re right. I have a number of liberal friends who are guilty of what I described here, but also know a number of conservatives who are pretty much all talk. It’s infuriating.
