With thanks and credit to Brugmansian, it's looking like all the LSM fuss about Michelle's extravagant vacation in Spain, just might be a distraction to cover up a much more sinister reason for her trip.
Brugmansian uncovered the following article in EL MUNDO and the last paragraph is of specific importance.

Well, we haven't seen any reports from the MSM and probably won't be seeing any. So, if for example Michelle were conveying her husband's message that the USA would stay out of any conflicts that an Arab state might have with Israel, and any peripheral quid pro quo deal emanating from that information, that would be a very substantive message that would required lots of confidentiality.
Of course, since the MSM isn't and won't be reporting about plans for the meeting or the events of such a meeting, we are left to speculate.
Royal is better. :-)

Oh, thank you maggief. I am reading every comment now. I had an interesting discussion with a lady friend after Mass today -— she’s a well informed, one of us...lol -— so when I told her about this, we ended up having a quick lunch together. I expect her to sign-up here shortly. LOL.

If we assume that her meetings with the Saudis were just based on being star-struck, you would think Banderas would be more interesting than a royal. Strange that she couldn't be bothered to come downstairs even for a few minutes just to show her face.
Maybe they came to her and she met with a few of them behind closed doors. Still, its strange. Maybe she is the kind who gets more pleasure snubbing a "famoso" than shaking hands with one. But these are supporters. So its strange.

This trip, as soon as it was announced filled the air with noxious fumes. The Saud royals spend every summer in Marbella. Huge compound and they rent up just about everything else in sight for staff and entourage. Yachts moored in plenty docks.
THIS is the place where they smuggled bin laden’s body in by sea from Iran and flew it back to be buried with HONOR in Saudi Arabia.
They planted a farce story about having received some kind of terror threat on the royal family because the summer was over and they had already returned to Saudi Arabia and needed an excuse to go back so suddenly. 2005, I think.
