If Obama’s Indonesian name was Soebarkah then why did his school record from Indonesia list his name as Barry Soetoro?
‘Barry’ could be a nickname for Soebarkah the same as it can be a nickname for Barack. Soetoro would be his surname.
Maybe there was some ambivalence about using the Soebarkah name, and by the time he was ready for school they were using a western name (personal name and surname) instead.

I haven’t looked at all the dates but perhaps Mom arrived there, and quickly put him in school while the adoption paperwork was going through (taking months); and of course perhaps when registering you can choose your former name if you wish, not your Indonesian name (which may not have even been assigned at that time)
and then the Passport Application in her own hand writing, was done later -— as much as a year later -—when updating her own passport, which may have been valid for as little as one or three years
(there is also a page in the FOIA release saying to her “your passport is not valid” - but with no explanation).
And then while filling our the forms, she came to the box saying children’s name:
(Was the daughter born by then? I didn’t check)
So she wrote down Barack Hussein Obama and then put underneath it in parenthesis, his new Indonesian name, a single name as Indonesians all use ...
And then, struck it out herself, thinking well now Barry has his own passport won’t need to be on mine (or something like this I am just speculating of course)
and this is why he can travel so easily to scary Pakistan on Spring Break when he is 19 or 20.
Did he have one passport at that time or two? No one knows.

Why were Lolo’s tax returns all held back?
He is dead, right?
So ...???
Was it because (as someone else suggested) that he was paying money for his two Indonesian children then attending school in Hawaii???
What else could it be?
