Well, I’ll tell you this, I went to Mexico on a Girl Scout trip back in 1993. We were told specifically that we were not allowed to wear shorts. And I’m not talking Daisy dukes, I am talking ANY shorts, even our knee-length official girl scout culottes, because in that culture, it was askng for trouble. Also,when we went out of the Cabana compound into the markets and towns such as Taxco and Cuernavaco, to avoid getting abducted or raled, we had to travel in groups of 4 or more, unless you were blonde. Blondes were recommended to dye their hair before the trip, and those that didn’t were not allowed to be in a group of less than 6 people, one of which had to be an adult.
