CA can decide to nullify the rogue federal courts for wresting the Constitution (the Constitution does not demand allowing same sex marriages) and/or take it to the Supreme Court.

Don't get mad - get even. All this points out is that the only way to prevent same sex marriage in the U.S. is by an affirmative act - amending the FEDERAL Constitution. I have no idea why this is such a mystery to the general public - perhaps it's that American Government isn't taught much anymore. Even if this particular equal protection ruling is overturned - there is bound to be a circuit somewhere which will expand this position even further.
When the public is surveyed, by nearly 60-40 proportions, same sex marriage is disfavored. But when the same samples are asked "Would you support a Federal Constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage?" the response is 40-60, opposed. It just tells me that there is a need for an educational campaign along with issue advocacy in opposition to same sex marriage - people don't seem to understand the mechanics of constitutional law and our system of federalism, and that is preventing them from supporting an effective approach.
