I remember Krugman (or was it Howard Feinman} that went to the Detroit Auto Show and had a hissy fit over large SUV's specifically the Excursion. While no longer in production, it still has a niche, is in demand by large families, ranchers, and was great for businesses like a back country / off road tours.

Now compare GM and Chrysler to Ford and Krugman's and Ford's success vs. his blind side to great free market business models.
