NUGENT: It is us
Washington Times ^ | 7-31-10 | Ted Nugent

Posted on 07/31/2010 4:26:50 AM PDT by radioone

Barack Hussein Obama did not sneak into power. An army of clueless, disconnected, ignorant Americans invited him to bring his Marxist, glaringly anti-American jihad into our lives. This president's overtly destructive, clear-and-present-danger agenda is surpassed in transparency only by his ultra-leftist public voting record and overall lifetime conduct of consorting with the enemy as a child and student of Marxism, socialist and racist community organizer, congregant of the blatant America-hating black-theology- and social-justice-spewing Rev. Jeremiah Wright and close personal friend of convicted communist terrorists like Bill Ayers, and by his unflinching appointment of an array of communist czars, including Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunne, et al.

It’s called de-evolution. I don’t believe it can be stopped.

Well, human beings are the only species on the planet that aggressively props up its weak and ill, not allowing mother nature to take its course... survival of the fittest.

So what did you expect?

It is being said often and loud , but the idiots seem hypnotized. Obama is a destroyer, but the Congress that is allowing him his power is as bad ot worse.

Certainly Obama is a Muslim, a racist, a man who hates the America that he is in charge of, but what in the name of God is wrong with the democrats who are backing him?

I think more dems are beginning to oppose him. I am not sure why more don’t, other than the fear of being labeled racist. We all know if Obama was white instead of half white, things would be a lot different.

I saw Congresswoman Bachman last night on CSPAN, she was spot on.
The Nuge/Bachman ticket would be too good. The moonbats would flip!

It's not just the weak that are propped up. I think it's sort of like the rich man's curse. Rich man has a son and he lolls around all day and doesn't learn to make it on his own, no matter how hard the parents try. It's like what old Tom Paine said years ago:

"What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value."

Hard times and crisis, in a way, are a good thing. They hopefully provide the lessons that people need. Otherwise people become complacent in their nature. Domesticated. Ever see a domesticated animal vs a wild animal? That's our problem. As I think Camus once said, "We are a nation in slippers."

I started saying this when Clinton was elected: In a democracy you don’t get the government you want. You get the government you deserve.

The movie Idiocracy is actually a caricature of the US today. And Ted is absolutely correct.

Yes, but look how far and how obvious it has had to be to get even a fraction of them to realize. It is a sad commentary on our culture, not to mention our higher education system, considering that is one of the strongholds of his support.

Universal suffrage has a very dark side. This has been understood for ages. Discussed at the time of founding, as the states and proposed federal government did not have uniform qualifications for obtaining the privilege of voting.

From The Constitutional Convention Debates: Qualifications for Suffrage (August 7, 10):

Mr. DICKINSON
had a very different idea of the tendency of vesting the right of suffrage in the freeholders of the Country. He considered them as the best guardians of liberty; And the restriction of the right to them as a necessary defence against the dangerous influence of those multitudes without property and without principle with which our Country like all others, will in time abound. As to the unpopularity of the innovation it was in his opinion chemirical. The great mass of our Citizens is composed at this time of freeholders, and will be pleased with it. ...

Mr. GOUVERNEUR MORRIS
... The aristocracy will grow out of the House of Representatives. Give the votes to people who have no property, and they will sell them to the rich who will be able to buy them. ...
The ignorant and the dependent can be as little trusted with the public interest.

Plenty more at the link above. The present condition was not only predictable, it was predicted.

IMO, Nugent is half right. The populace is hamstrung by a MSM that does not report the news, but is instead a political propaganda machine.

Here is the Money line:

But it gets worse. For, you see, the blame doesn't fall just on the obvious stupidity of our friends and families who voted for this corrupt, death-wish government in whose stranglehold we find ourselves. Ultimately, it is our fault. It is the failure of those of us who know better but have failed miserably to educate our own. Living our lives with a captive audience of family, friends, co-workers, socialites, fellow worshippers at church and other parents at school -- everyone in our everyday walks of life -- far too many of us have allowed uneducated, history-devoid, denial-riddled, fantasy-driven, anti-gun and anti-hunting, anti-capitalism general ignoramuses to remain so and run amok, when by all thoughtful considerations, it was our duty to educate and upgrade everyone in our lives to truth, logic and the American way.

We have made life way to easy for the youth, we have let them forget that Freedom is never Free and that there are consequences for actions as well as inaction

“The populace is hamstrung by a MSM that does not report the news, but is instead a political propaganda machine.”

And, the fact that the populace doesn’t have the critical thinking skills to challenge what they are being fed points up one of the major failings of ‘public’ education...

It’s time to take back the country.
