I'd say that is possible, it depends what they have that they can use. The only "good" thing about biowarfare is that is does not discriminate so it could backfire on them.
Smallpox was what I was thinking of. It is easy to produce and weaponize. The vaccine is cheap and 100% effective. But if you don't have the vaccine you are suffering 50% death rates.

Hmmm, good point. It would really be Hell on people who were born sometime after 1974, give or take, since around that time, the smallpox vaccination was stopped for the general public. I hear that even if you had the immunization, it could be weakened maybe, I keep hearing pro and con.
