You? Yes, you. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

1970s type service is still (sort of) available.
But you have to pay for a first-class fare to get it.

And in many cases, especially if you play the frequent flyer and credit card point game, it really isn’t that expensive, like less than those coach fares back in the good old days were in real terms.

Also, compare the facilities (flat seats) for overseas night flights now versus the fat recliners then.

I’d tend to agree with you regarding In-N-Out.

LOL It’s OK. I admit the term “crown-lapper” is funny. In fact, I recently used the term in conversation to descibe myself.

I’m proud to be an Ermine-Huffer!

Point taken. There was certainly nothing like those bed seats they have on Virgin Atlantic back in the Good Old Days.

All I’m saying is that the economic game is rigged. Let’s rig it in favor of the passengers, as we did under regulation.

Don’t listen to him, you’re welcome here. I’m on a rant against the ones that throw the “noob” label around, sometimes when someone has been here for over a year.

I’ve gotten a burger from Five Guys! Thank God it wasn’t Six Guys. I might not have been able to overpower them.

I’m glad to hear that. My pet peeve, sometimes posters attack others with “noob” even when they’ve been here many months or over a year. But the second time you did it (to me) it just hit my funny bone. Which is in my left knee.

Sorry for the off-topicness, but as a country boy, your argument that “tofu and goat cheese on rye” is better for you than a decent American burger makes no sense at all to me. I am a proud carnivore who comes from a long line of long-livers. My grandmother had 17 kids and lived to 91, and ate meat every day.

The market isn’t there. It’s been tried several times, and each attempt a miserable failure.

Horrible analogy. Stick with what you know, because it isn’t bicycles.

There are plenty of bicycles still made in the USA. Titus, Intense, Santa Cruz, Litespeed, Serrota, Turner, Ibis, just off the top of my head. Many manufacturers like Trek, import some of their bikes, and make the rest in the USA.

Secondly you analogy fails because Chinese made bicycles are not necessarily of inferior quality. A Chinese made bicycle can be anything from a $99 Wal-Mart special to the $10k Scott Addict.

Well, you can have the tofu, but goat cheese on rye just tastes better than a hamburger. Better yet, Chavignol pizza. You’ll never eat Dominoes again.

The “unwashed masses” being told what’s best for them by your “educated Christian elite” lead to today where the unwashed masses are told what’s best for them by the ruling class leftists. They’re the same sort of people in different clothes.

You might be right that most people are too stupid to know what’s best for them. However, any system that patronizes and takes care of them will try to patronize and take care of me. And I don’t like that idea at all. I’d rather have idiot people running around being idiotic, and freedom to live the way I want, than a well-tended utopia where I’m a slave. Thanks anyway.
