Not even slightly realistic, but that was certainly natures cure for obesity throughout much of human existence.

But come on? Processed foods less expensive? On what planet?

It doesn't even make any economic sense. Packaged processed foods, add sugar and salt to something, jazz up the packaging, advertising campaign on TV, and suddenly it is less expensive than the (healthy) raw materials that went into it? What?????
