2-3 hours a day.
Please....homeschoolers hardly go to school at all. Our neighbors have their kids sleep in so they can hang out watching tv. In the afternoon they get a babysitter so that they can go do whatever they want to do. They do make homeschool fun that is for sure at least for the parents. The parents work at night so they are happy not to have to get the kids up for school in the morning and take them to the bus stop. It is a nice life that is for sure.
Your experience with your neighbors is not typical of most homeschoolers. Most homeschoolers provide a wonderful education for their children. The test scores prove this to be true.
Painting with a rather broad brush aren’t you?
Maybe a homeschool family you know does that, but I could give many examples of homeschool families who think their child’s education is their #1 priority and they work hard to a provide a top notch homeschool experience.
I was one.
And all public school parents are selfish, do nothings who send their kids off to public schools for the free babysitting all day so they can shop til they drop without having to make arrangements of their own.
I know too many public school parents who called their own kids *rugrats* and admitted that they hated summer vacation and couldn’t wait for school to start again cause they couldn’t stand having their kids home all day with them.
Therefore, all public school parents must be like that.
Every parent who does not do their best for their children is a miserable human being. If you don't want kids, don't have them.
Even my public school education was good enough to teach me that you don’t judge millions of people by one sample. What school system failed you so miserably?
