I’m not sure, by I think it used to go with which party was in power at the time. Now it’s stuck and needs to be unstuck. Everything the Marxists do needs to be fought tooth and nail.

Allow me to brag about my district. We are the first district of Michigan, the second largest district according to land mass of any district east of the Mississippi. We have more shoreline than any other district in the continental United States. We comprise 30 counties plus a partial which is almost 3/8 of Michigans 83 counties and 44% of the states total land mass. We are open-minded, hard-working and resourceful people interested in rugged individualism and liberty.

I love the UP and the whole 1st district in general. I never really consider going anywhere else for vacation.

There’s a lot to recommend in Northern and Western Ontario.

I thought it was Red=Challenger, Blue=Incumbant, by party.
In 2000, the Republican challenger George W. Bush was represented with red. Because of that election, and the intense scrutiny over local, county, state and national maps, it became somewhat permanant.

One of the prerequisites of a being a Red State is a Right to Work Law - I don’t see Michigan getting one of those until every job is lost.

When your whole state is one district - then you have something to brag about...

And they are just itching to use “white” to represent the Pubbies.

If my whole state was a district, it would never turn red. Detroit and Lansing would own us.

And they are just itching to use white to represent the Pubbies. They seem to like to say "old and white" a lot. I don't know if that is a separate color. I am more of a calamine shade.

I left the state and decided not to come back. Grandholm’s corrupt Public Service Commission, crushed my business. It turned out to be the best career move I could have made though. I’m making double the money in GA that I was in MI. Good luck though.
