Release of the papers is not the only crime going on here! IMHO.
Leaks are okay under Republican administrations. Particularly if they embarrass said administrations.
Get the Boys home. Obama is creating a quaigmire. We do not need to Nation Build Afganistan when we are broke. I am really not scared of the Terrorists compared to Obama and the Crats. Secure the borders. Build our defense back and get out of the ‘new world order’.
The Afghan tribesmen that keep it going are doing the same thing against us as they did against the Russians and the British before them. Hell, the Tallibunnies are having the time of their lives. They get off of this.
They will shoot us whenever they can, hide in the rocks when they aren't shooting at us. Shoot anyone who cooperates with us. Hide in burkhas when they are not shooting at people who cooperate with us, and when we finally get tired and leave — be it in one, five or twenty years, they will shrug and go back to shooting at each other.
It's what they do. They like it. An Afghani can always find somebody he wants to shoot at.
The only way to “win” the war in Afghanistan would be to bring in a sufficiently large population base to completely displace the inhabitants of the area. Fat chance of that happening.
