I believe, based on Hawaii's Territorial Law, Chapter 57 - "VITAL STATISTICS, I", shown beginning pg 23 of 29, (the law in effect in 1961), that "only" a statement by someone (i.e. Grandparents...notice too the address in the newspaper "announcements" is that of the Grandparents!) who was in residence in HI for at least 1 year to "swear" that the child was born there. No other corroborating evidence was required.

It doesn’t matter where he was born, both parents MUST BE USA citizens for barry to be ‘natural born’ - a requirement to be president.
