Did you know that on January 1, 2011 the personal income tax rate for the lowest tax bracket will rise 50% from 10% to 15%?
Did you know that on January 1, 2011 the personal income tax rate for the next highest bracket - 25% - will rise to 28%?
Did you know that on January 1, 2011 the personal income tax rate that is now 28% will rise to 31%?
Just who's raising these taxes? That would be the Democrats by allowing the Bush tax cuts for the "rich" expire on December 31, 2010. If Bush only cut taxes for the rich, where did the 10%, 25%, and 28% tax rates come from? It seems to me there aren't many "rich" people in the lowest tax bracket.
And btw, the marriage penalty will be making a much-heralded liberal comeback along with a rise in the capital gains rate (you know, the one for the 100 million "rich" people who own stock) from 15% to 20%.
Don't believe me? Well, here's your proof.
So next time you hear your liberal friends wailing about the Bush tax cuts for the rich, kindly refer them to Investors.com No, forget it, they won't allow the facts to get in the way of their indoctrination.
I know a lot of people making $75K+ that lost their jobs and went on unemployment. These people are “the rich”, so it could be said that their endless unemployment benefits are “welfare for the rich”. And to whom should they shower their gratitude and appreciation on for their gub’mint manna? That’s right—the democrats.
Why can’t they tax those who pay no tax or get a check back just $1?
Lets just cancel all taxes and put it on the unborns credit card. Whats a few more bazillion.
These tax cuts have been called the “Bush tax cuts” for years. That alone is reason enough for the Dems to put them on the chopping block. Their validity is of little consequence.
The democrats argument is that the lower tax bracket only got a $200 tax cut while the upper bracket may have got 10s of thousands of $$$, and that the lower tax bracket needed the thousands of $$$more than the rich. (Notice that Dems didnt do that either, the poor got $800 on top of the Bush tax cut.) So they say the poor didnt get a 'real' tax break even though they pay no income taxes now.
Here is the problem. Everytime this tax cut argument comes up Democrats start the class warfare stuff and then Republicans go for the lower income tax cuts that dont stimulate job creation anymore than Obama’s tax credits do (and they both increase spending which is counter-productive in the longer term.) Yet,Republicans still get accused of favoring the rich and running up deficits even when showing this ‘compassion’ and then the lower income people vote Democrat.
With the unemployment insurance bill Democrats accused Republicans of purposely starving children to provide cheap labor for the corporations. Why dont Republicans accuse Democrats of purposefully keeping unemployment high, like Rush used to do in the 1990s???
TAX THE POOR! Let them realise that Welfare money comes FROM someone!
TAX THE POOR! Let them realise that Welfare money comes FROM someone!
If that’s the Dems argument it falls apart really quickly, because someone who got only a $200 cut was only paying hundreds in taxes before the cut. So you can’t give them back thousands they aren’t paying to begin with.
Don’t forget the death tax- that’s coming back too.
If Democrats could understand this stuff they wouldn’t be Democrats.
Is the child tax credit going back to $500 from $1000?
If you google the “Making work pay tax credit”, those that pay no income taxes got it when they filled out a tax return, although they may have sent out lump sum checks ahead of time.
My coworker works part time and I work full time. He got the full “Making work pay tax credit” working part time and I only got half working full time because of the taxable income difference. Make sense? Obama made him 'not working pay'.
The new definition of “rich” is now anyone who has a real job and is not on the government teat.
Got that right.

Yes, I believe the child tax credit reverts as well.
