I have always thought that the best argument against this stuff was to ask people simple questions, like:

Do you like having your lights come on when you flip a switch?
Do you like to be warm in your home in the winter?
Do you like to be cool, on hot days in the summer, at your place of work?
Do you like to sign-on to your computer at home any time you want and be connected to the internet?

Simple questions like that. And then explain that using these ridiculous "green" energy providers is going to take all of that away.

Now, I don't believe that any facts will get in the way of the Obama administration shoving this garbage down our throats anyway.

The biggest uses of energy are keeping warm in the winter and transportation. If we want to have fresh food all year, if we want to work where we are happy and productive instead of the neighborhood sweat shop, and if we want to keep our pipes from freezing, then we need fossil fuels or a large number of nukes.

Also ask people how many new nukes are being built? If they guess 50, then they are right. How many of those are in North America? None, a couple in Canada are being refurbished.
