The Islamic supremacist mega mosque is a stab in the eye of every American. The question is, why there? Why did the terror-tied Imam Rauf spend five million dollars to build a triumphal mosque 600 feet from the site of the largest attack, Islamic attack in American history? There have been 15,644 Islamic attacks since 911 across the world. Each one had the imprimatur of an Islamic cleric. What is being done to expunge the koran of the violent texts that inspire jihad?
The response to the overwhelming pain this mosque has caused has been ad hominem attacks. I find the Cordoba Initiative's callousness towards the grief they are causing radically intolerant.
SIOA is holding a another peaceful protest against the Ground Zero mega mosque on September 11th. Be there. It's now or never.

I am surprised that Sarah is opposing Property Rights.
Once a muslim army attacks and takes control over land of another nation they build a mosque , that nation becomes muslim. Building a mosque on “foreign soil’ shows that rest of the world how strong are. Remember most of the terrorists were saudi national. The saudi government is now telling the rest of the world that in their minds , New York is now part of islam.

I looked up Sharia Law and it appears that there are hundreds perhaps thousands of laws. America certainly has some laws that are identical with Sharia ones.
How would we “activate Sharia law”? America has a well established process for passing laws. Is this “activation” something else?
Not a very brave stand on her part. The plans for the mosque have been known for months and protests against it have been going on for weeks. And suddenly now she sees the need to take a stand? She's hopping on the train long after it's left the station.

It remains to be seen if we are of sterner stuff.
UK is a good example of how they do it[1]. First they talk about Sharia laws. Then they privately follow these laws. Then they establish non-binding courts that deal in those laws. Then decisions of those courts become binding. Then it's only a matter of shifting the majority of cases into those courts. Then the native system of laws is dead, fully replaced by Sharia.
Because of that, it is essential to not give those laws a foothold. You can't do much if family members use Sharia laws to control their own lives, but as soon as those laws are exposed to the society they must be rejected. As you said, "America has a well established process for passing laws" - and that's how it shall stay.
