I would have NEVER pegged you for Spinal Tap or Rosemary’s Baby!

Nope, the others didn’t surprise me (maybe War or the Worlds a little), but those two did.

Yeah, we don't own it, but we should. Most movies aren't in the category of wanting to watch over and over. Ray Liotta was so great in that. Joe Pesci is great in everything; he's another guy who's mere presence in the cast takes a movie over the top.

Another one we watch often and always enjoy: Get Shorty. Hilarious. Gene Hackman in his best role ever, even better than Lex Luthor.

Re: The Exorcist...I saw that when I was a very young, naive 18/19 year old extremely sheltered Catholic girl...and it scared the bee-gee-bees out of me. I couldn’t go to sleep for the first several nights after without the lights being on. That was in the mid 70s...I’ve not watched/seen it since. Don’t care to.

The book was pretty good

I assume you mean The Fountainhead because I'm pretty sure Dark Star wasn't a novel. ;-)

Killer Klowns Fron Outer Space...strange movie

Lots of strange movies out there. Toxic Avenger and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes to name just two.

A very funny movie, yes.

Also: Office Space.

A brilliant, hilarious, TRUE movie of the late 20th century in America.

I think Hackman’s best roles ever were as the minister in The Poseidon Adventure and the coach in Hoosiers.

I just remember the SNL version with Richard Pryor:

“The bed...must be...on the floor....The bed...must be...on the floor...”

“THE BED...IS ON...MY FOOT....THE BED...IS ON...MY FOOT...”

‘Les Miserables’ 1935 & 1952 versions in particular but the two newer versions are also good.

Mike Judge's "Idiocracy" is a vision of America's future.
