Saw the rerun this morning. He also did his best to control the discussion to the point of telling her what to say.
A complete blowhard and pinhead.
I can’t watch him any longer. He feels he’s being paid by the word and is incapable of letting a guest finish a thought.
AMEN!! He is UNWATCHABLE!!
BOR is soo, soo tiring. How does he stay married?
His ego must weigh 2 tons.
She let him control the discussion like she let Katie and Tom Browkaw. Sometimes you have to ask what she is doing wrong. It is so funny that she has such a hard time with interviews unless they are from conservatives who like to kiss here butt. How on Earth will she be able to debate Obama when she will be given difficult questions from a possible liberal? Answer me that and I will be happy to see her as President.
Several times during that segment, I told Bill to “SHUT UP!” I know he can’t hear me but he really got on my nerves.
But note how Sarah didn’t allow him to interrupt her. She went right on talking even though he was louder than she. I’ve wondered why other guests don’t do that - most of them just allow BO to stop them mid-thought. Not pleasant to watch.
How did Sarah do?

She made him look like a fool the last time she was on his show. I’m sure he was out to show her just who’s boss. She didn’t do anything wrong. He was being a blowhard and completely rude.

He kept interrupting her and tried telling her what to say.
I cant watch him either. About 3 minutes at a time and then I hurl.
That’s a good one (unplugging the teleprompter). He probably did want to show her who was boss. She did not have to stutter and say Ulm all the time....he did not force her to do that. Once you say Ulm, you tell the other person you lost control. That happens in real life too.

He also needs to mention a half dozen times a show who’s number one in his time slot. He is incredibly annoying.
BOR does not allow any spin on his show, unless of course he is the one doing the spinning.
He does not like views contrary to his own. Once he states his position, he will not allow his guest to argue against it, regardless of how sound their argument is.
One technique he uses is a “joke”, that is while the other person is talking he will jump in like a five year old in an adult conversation and try to say something funny. Often it is so bad his guest is stopped in mid sentence to make sence of it, which then gives Bill a chance to make his point, again, for the 500th time in the interview.
I watch BOR with the mute on. Why do I bother, well he does have good guest I can not see anywhere else. So I “edit” the show for myself. (Oh the poster that says they yell “shut up” at Bill, you are not alone, I do it as well. He can not hear me, but for some reason I feel better for doing so.

o’rEILLY is a complete narcissist. He comes to almost every interview ill prepared. Compare his preparation for the Obama interviews with what a Tim Russert would have.
With Palin he doesn’t shut up....he continues to talk and talk. He wouldn’t get away with that with say a Charles Krauthammer who chooses every word carefully.
I think it’s good practice for Sarah to have interviewers like O’Reilly she plays him...all the women on his show play him. I think he likes for them to stand up to him, likeMegan Kelly and the others...
So in that sense it was good.
But he still doesn’t know when to STFU.
I love it when he says,”Ok, I’ll give you the last word.”
AND INVARIABLY he responds and gives the last word....
What a bafooon...
I think this is good practice for her. She does very well in interviews...I think...
O’REilly has a clear agenda regarding illegal immigration. He has his opinion and he jams it through.
Sarah was trying to be succinct and simple, but actually came across a bit callous....
She needs to keep her cool with O’Reilly. I think he skimmed over her comments regarding the securing of the borders.
