Back in the days of slavery, it was the Southern Democrats who vowed never to give black people equality. They said things like, the Republicans want to make black men equal to white men, and that’s why I’ll always be a Democrat. Somehow it has all been twisted these days to appear that the Democrats are the champions of racial equality and social justice. If more black people really studied history, real unvarnished history, they might not be so keen on the Democratic party.
