When the Left joins in one chorus of mockery, you know they are mad and maybe even nervous. The most recent examples include both Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. When the mainstream media and statist blogs recognize a conservative person or movement gaining popularity then they immediately go on the offensive. Make people seem right-wing, stupid, racist, and nut jobs then no one will pay attention to them.
Its an old trick but it often works. Glenn Beck has been the target of that negative strategy many times, and now that he is starting a school the weaponry of baseless insults have returned. Last week Becks Web site announced a new university of sorts:
Beck University is a unique academic experience bringing together experts in the fields of religion, American history and economics. Through captivating lectures and interactive online discussions, these experts will explore the concepts of Faith, Hope and Charity and show you how they influence Americas past, her present and most importantly her future.
The University is going to consist of online lectures that can be seen July through September of this year. Beck has made it his mission to not only entertain but also educate, and he is using this program as a way to teach people things they dont learn in government schools. Topics will focus on economics, history, and political science among other things. It will be available to all those who sign up for Becks Insider Extreme subscription service (which is about 6-10 bucks a month).

Beck has been working at educating Americans for awhile on his Fox show. I don’t tune in all the time, but when I have I’ve found it to have good information.
But his show isn’t available to everyone for various reasons. The is a better way to get it to the masses.
Beck will claim to educate people on the Constitution while refusing to address the biggest Constitutional crisis of our time, that being BO/BS illegally holding office since he is not a natural born citizen.
Couldn’t you wait for a few more posts before hijacking this thread?
The thing I really do like about Beck is his educating people. He’s like watching a really good history professor, one who loves his work.
When libs/progressives/leftists howl in protest it’s proof positive they fear the object of their rage.

We need to defeat Obama not merely as an individual but as part of a larger and more insidious Progressive movement that seeks to deny our freedom and sacrifice our national sovereignty. Glenn Beck's great contribution is to help people relearn their own true history, rediscover America's heroes, and understand the nature of the fight we are involved in. I personally believe that Obama is not an American regardless of where he was born, because he does not share American values and seeks to deny our unique historical character and purpose at every opportunity.
The reason the Left gnashes its teeth so fiercely at Mr. Beck (and at Rush and Sarah Palin and David Horowitz and others) is because they dare to speak the truth about the Left's intentions. Forget the BC - it's a dark alley leading us astray while President Nero fiddles away his time in office and his minions sack the city to the cheers of Keith Olbermann and his ilk in the media.
Every person has to decide their own hill to die on. If Glenn Beck picks your hill, he’ll be off the air.
Beck is doing plenty of good on his little patch of earth. You get the job of covering the patch he can’t get to.
Has anyone else noticed that Beck seems to be on a real doom and gloom tear lately. I heard him this morning talking about how we are going to win in 2010, not accomplish anything, and then usher in another 30 years of Democrat rule. I would like to think he is just trying to keep his listeners riled up to hold republican feet to the fire, but more and more he just sounds defeatist. I got the same impression when he declared Hayworth’s campaign finished and conceded the Arizona senate race to McCain.
Here is one each old man that he is educating, most impressed with him.
There’s always McCain’s penchant for losing in the stretch, and his continued & well covered association with Lieberman & Graham ain’t gonna help him in Arizona. And I don’t doubt that he’ll soon feel safe enough to unleash Meghan.
Good post...........
So what is your point here? Is it a worthless subject of discussion? Are the enemies too powerful? Do you not want to fight this battle?
So you want to leave him in office, fiddling away until the next Presidential election? Do you really put all your trust in the GOP which might win some measure of control at the mid terms? If they are 'successful' at winning the mid terms and 'successful' at governing, it will only have the effect of rescuing Obozo so that he can have a run at reelection in 2012.
Unless Obama commits a manifestly provable, impeachable offense, that would seem to be our only choice. That is what elections are for. What the GOP might do with an improved Congressional presence or even with a majority, is pure speculation. It is almost certain however to be superior to the present state of affairs, assuming the GOP taxes, spends, and regulates less than the Democrats would and stops advancing the interests of our enemies. If they fail to do so, I would expect a major third-party movement to explode upon the scene, and deservedly so.
Oh! I see! Come back Mr. Perot, all is forgiven.
