Obama's War of Choice
The Publius Forum ^ | July 7, 2010 | Dan Scott

The recent spat over comments made by Michael Steele, the chairman of the GOP demonstrates the sensitivity of the MSM regarding their love child Barack Obama. The slobbering love affair the MSM has had with Obama is now on it last gasps; the honeymoon is just about over. The MSM and pundits would love you to believe this is about Michael Steele when in fact this is really about the continuing incompetence of President Barack Obama as viewed from the left.

This is what Steele said:

“Keep in mind again, federal candidates, this was a war of Obama’s choosing. This was not something that the United States had actively prosecuted or wanted to engage in,” he said. “But it was the president who was trying to be cute by half by building a script demonizing Iraq, while saying the battle really should be in Afghanistan. Well, if he is such a student of history, has he not understood that you know that’s the one thing you don’t do, is engage in a land war in Afghanistan?”

Is this what the big flap is about? I've been purposely keeping away from the news over the fourth. When I tuned in all I caught was Michael Steel made some comment, but they never played the comment. It sounds like Steele was actually telling the truth or did I miss something?

One thing is for sure: the war against Michael Steele is one of Republican’s choosing.

Steele, who I do not think has done a good job, stumbled over the truth.

Afghanistan, like the economy was a major point in the dem strategy.

They talked the economy into the toilet for two years, then acted shocked when it crashed...........they also talked Afghanistan into "The war" and Iraq into the bad war.

The result.........a major crash of our economy and a war in Afghanistan they have no idea how to fight.

They screwed themselves and us at the same time, this why the only way they can find to get out of blame is to blame Dubya.

He sounds reasonable and on target to me. When I heard Charles Krauthammer trash him I was very surprised.

Will someone please post video of Obama’s campaign rhetoric on Bush, Iraq, and Afghanistan? Should defuse some of this harsh criticism by the RINO’s of Steele.
