“When is the black community going to stop voting for people based on their skin color? What is it about the black community that makes them so racist? I guess they would rather cut their nose off just to spite their face.”

When are Hispanics going to stop voting for Hispanic candidates?

When are native Hawaiians going to stop voting for native Hawaiian candidates?

For that matter, when are Asians going to stop voting for an Asian candidate, when one is available to vote for?

There is only ONE ethnic/racial group that doesn’t regularly vote this way. Can you guess which one that is?

The harsh, cold and unpleasant reality is, is that it’s natural and normal for ethnic and racial groups to identify with each other on the basis of such characteristics, and to vote for candidates of their own “kind” — because they (correctly or incorrectly) believe that candidates “like themselves” will best advance their groups’ interests and agendas.

If you’re a Hispanic, why vote for the old white guy, when you can vote for a “wise Latina”? Who is going to be seen as the one who will better promulgate the interests of Latinas and Latinos?

We Euros have a dream. It’s a great dream, but one that we created and one that worked for us, so long as our nation remained pretty much exclusively a “Euro nation” up until the 1960’s.

At the core of that dream is the believe that ANYone who comes here will in time become exactly “like us” and adopt and embrace our own ethnic history.

The dream was that of “egalitarianism”, and if you don’t examine it very closely, it looks to be an attractive one indeed. But it ain’t workin’.

And Republicans (and many so-called “conservatives”) just can’t seem to “get it”, as to why.

It isn’t the behavior of the non-Euros that is un-natural.
It is our own.

Group identity politics is a learned behavior...
