Having surrendered to the manned space program to China and Russia in his own version of rocket propelled dhimmitude, Barack Obama has given NASA a new mandate: massage Muslim self-esteem.

Obama gave NASA adminstrator Charlie Bolden three goals:
One was that he wanted me to re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, that he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with predominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”
Not one of those has anything to do with space flight.
One has to wonder who Bolden was trying to convince in his next answer:

He is to engage Muslim nations and help them feel good and somehow that's not a diplomatic mission.

Man oh man, did he sell America a bill of goods in 2008.
There is no such beast as a “muslim nation”. Not in the view of OUR Constitution which sees man as free to choose the religion of his own desire.
There is no reason for OUR government to formally recognize and celebrate Islamic theocracy which denies basic human rights.
Why not celebrate the scientific contributions of Poles like Copernicus?
