Possible Illegal Aliens getting U.S. Passport?.
This afternoon I witnessed three groups of non-English speaking people in line at post office (KS side of metro Kansas City, Mo area).
As there were only two agents serving many people in line.
As I was waiting, I noted that one group of three people and one toddler, were with one postal employee. I did note that it was taking an unusually long time for the group, I didn't pay lots of attention as a couple of us were grousing about the time and especially hot post office.
As I got closer to front of line, another Hispanic with two children and a non-Hispanic older woman with a folder moved across the front of the line and settled to our right, which would have put them next in line. Someone called out that the line was at the back (actually out in the lobby) not in front. The non-Hispanic woman said that they were there for Passports NOT for the post office.
As I wondered about the situation, as well as the Hispanic group already with one postal employee, yet another two Hispanic people speaking only in Spanish, came in and again, crossed in front of the line only to stand behind the other Hispanic group.
I wondered as I finished my business and all of the way home, what in the world is happening that Hispanic possibly illegal, are lining up at U.S. Post Offices to get U.S. Passports.,
I guess anything is now possible in the PRO (Peoples Republic of Obamieland)
In my day, you had to have a certified copy of your birth certificate, something that Obamie does not have, or other certifications of US citizenship.

Thanks for the breaking news flash telling us that Hispanics can now get US Passports.
Getting a passport at a post office,i have not witnessed any such activity....

Passports are needed now for travel to Canada and Mexico I think; they’ve been threatening the same for years.
We go fishing in Canada once in a while so we got them when they first threatened but they keep postponing.
If illegals want to leave, there is surely a cheaper method.

Are the passport photos postage size?
You can get the application at the post office. It takes 60 days or more last time I checked and the fee keeps going up.
Just because they are speaking Spanish doesn’t mean they aren’t US citizens. They could be Puerto Ricans, first generation, naturalized, whatevever.
When I first got mine, I used the post office but had to bring in my birth certificate.
From what I could see, the person at the front of the line produced no birth certificate but did seem to offer utility bills, etc.
I might also add, as I have here in the past that this is the same area where Hispanic groups line up at the DMV to get driver's licenses, again bringing along a 50-60 year old, non-Hispanic woman to speak for each of them.

That’s where I got mine. I do not know where else you get one.
The post office does have to be one that has a passport window, or equipped to process the application.
The passport is mailed to you.
The thing was I paid $25.00 for that service,she had to make a photo and when we finished my papers were ready to mail.
That was her job and finally some one else came to the window to help the people waiting in line for other than passports.
I guess anyone can pay the fees, send for a passport,doesn't mean they will get one.

Many major post offices act as "acceptance agents" for passport applications for the State Department. The Postal Service gets a fee of $25 per application. One suggestion: don't bother calling the Postal Service's telephone help line for anything dealing with this service; my experience with trying that was highly unsatisfactory. It worked out better for me to simply visit the passport desk at a large post office.

Good Lord. They are trying to beat the date of when passport fees go up. Which if you had known was 1 July. Now don’t you feel silly.
You can order the passport at the post office. You give in the money order, passport application and pictures and they will process it and in a bout a month you will have a passport.
Yes, that was my experience. The information I received was wrong, and, to add insult to injury, the person conveying it was aggressively arrogant in addition to being ill-informed.
What I still feel is, is our State Department demanding that U.S. Passports be granted to people who have no proof of citizenship; is Obama making certain that, again, people who cannot prove who they truly are, where they truly were born, or to which country are they truly citizens -- U.S. or perhaps Mexico, Guatemala, etc.
As these adults all needed translators to guide them through the process - at U.S. post offices, makes me relatively certain that they are NOT U.S. citizens (yet according to Obama's and dim's election plans, are soon to be so). I've been to many foreign countries, Mexico and Canada included as well as much of Europe, Middle East, etc., none would permit me to line up to get a passport making me a citizen of their country!
Nope, still not "feeling stupid" in the United States of America!
