I commented when asked about this the other day that this was a trivial matter. Which it is. Most likely a mix up with a speech writer. It is a meaningless trivial matter, frankly, but leave it to BigTiger to try to cook up an excuse of a minor slip

The media made a mountain out of a molehill, not BigTiger, and it was pounced upon by detractors right here.

For my part, I think it was a verbal gaffe, not a speech text error. As you say, big deal.
