To: I Buried My Guns

The challenge with “the proper amount” is/are mobility and accessibility. oh ... and cost.

If you intend to defend your sanctuary, in situ, then all that mass and volume (of ammo) is fine, and you can easily secure it.

If you intend to bug out, then ya gotta plan for secure mobile space and its weight.

Just sayin’

Although 20 boxes of .45 ACP doesn’t take up much space and isn’t TOO bad of a hit on the wallet. But .223 (and up) can get painful.

I just got 500 rounds of loose .223, and was saddened by how little it was. I could fit 1000 rounds in a standard ammo can, easily. Not that super narrow can, but the one a little wider. I think it is called a .50 cal can.
