Let me guess. The first $4 Billion BP promised will be gone within a couple of months and then the regime will strongarm BP into re-filling the Escrow, and by the way BP don't bother asking for evidence of economic damage, if you were dumb enough to agree to this you deserve everything you get.
The top 15 MSAs on the Gulf coast appear to have about 15 million. If every single one applied, $20B would only provide about $1300 per person—not exactly enough to cover a year’s loss of income. Even if only 10% of these applied, $13K presumably wouldn’t stretch too far. I think BP’s in to get tagged for plenty more than $20B.
