I know you have heard of Marcus Luttrell, the former Navy SEAL member of Team 10. You've probably heard that after returning home for rehabilitation, his puppy was shot and killed with a .357 magnum revolver.
In this video, Marcus is speaking at a gun show in 2008. He was the lone survivor of a horrific fight. I think you'll enjoy listening to him. Behind his casual demeanor, you can see the deep, deep emotion as he tells the story of his friends.

Wow, what an incredible story. Personally I would have killed the goat herders, but sometimes you have to obey orders despite knowing what really needs to be done for the mission to be a success. They all deserve America’s highest medal.
I wonder what ever happened with those punks that killed his dog? His restraint is super-human...
When I first read that story I thought about those punks and how lucky they were to be alive after all that. They had no idea how lucky they were.
I hope they give these creeps the maximum sentence and that they are tortured to death in prison.
Liberals, of course, have spread this story far and wide because it so perfectly illustrates the strict moral code our military obeys to protect civilians, even at the cost of their own lives.
Right?
:: crickets ::
I read the book. Its an excellent book and a real page turner.
Thanks for posting and very good blog, maggie. America’s finest, Marcus Luttrell. My wife bought his book, read it and gave it to my daughter to read. I have not read it yet, but I certainly know about his story.
The next Mayor of Shelby CO. IF the RATS don’t stuff the ballot box with dead voters votes, and jail inmate votes. He’s up against the CORRUPT FORD MACHINE.
Uhhhh...different guy.
No, Mark Luttrell who is the current sheriff of Shelby Co, is the Navy Seal in this book. And is running for the Mayor of Shelby Co.
I'm sorry but you are mistaken. Click on the link and you will see an elderly gentleman in his 60's........The Navy Seal's name is "Marcus" and he lives in Texas.
Read Marcus Luttrell's book on the incident and currently reading 'Seal of Honor' about the life of Lt. Michael Murphy, USN ... the SEAL team leader on the mission. In my opinion they should, since they were concerned about the PC issue and didn't want to shoot the sheep herders, they should have continued to hold them captive, radio for extraction (mission compromised), and released their captives upon boarding the helicopter. Releasing them when they did was a deadly & costly error.
Wierd, same name, just shortens it to Mark.
