AZ Wildlife Refuge Closed in 2006 - Obama Surrenders Again
Maggie's Notebook ^ | 6-16-2010 | Maggie M. Thornton

"Rippling grassland flanked by mountains, and riparian zones rich in bird life," - is how the U.S. fish and Wildlife Service describes the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. Sounds beautiful and very American.

The Obama government whipped out their white surrender flag, and handed some 3,500 acres of U.S. land to the worst of Mexican drug smugglers and human traffickers, keeping their entry into the U.S. completely unimpeded. Actually the white flag flew in 2006. Essentially the same closure notice by the Government was issued then, as was issued yesterday.

We send troops to Afghanistan to go after drug dealers ... why can't we send troops to this Wildlife Area and KILL THEM. This is OUR Country ... and we just "give" it away? What if they wanted Phoenix next? Ah, no problem, it's yours. The ONLY REASON (IN THE CONSTITUTION!) for a federal government is to Protect the Nation. This PRIMARY reason is now trashed with the rest of it ... amazing.

In the twisted way of typical government think- they won’t let the Border Patrol into some areas on the border because they might damage a protected plant or disturb an endangered specie. So without Border Patrol in those areas the smugglers and illegals take over and trash the area and crime gets out of hand. It seems the government thinks it is better to have criminals in control of those areas instead of the Border Patrol.

They're already reclaiming that too. I read on our local board yesterday that one of the reps (Kristen Sinema, long time pro-Communist) got a permit for the squatters to camp out at the state capitol through July.

Yes, Obama wasn’t President in 2006 and the blog article isn’t very well written. The only thing that happened recently that I know of is that BLM put up 13 new signs in the area urging people to be careful. The fact that we’re telling our own citizens to run away instead of fixing the problem is shameful. I think there should be a temporary shooting range set up there with round-the-clock marksmanship competition. If we had barbecues and invited law enforcement to participate too, maybe it would change things.

I'll be the first to say "Plan A: stay within the lawful guidelines" ...but there is a "line" for all of us. I'm surprised some of the folks in Texas and Arizona don't decide to put gun racks in their bass boats and start shooting back which is an obvious Plan B:

Can you imagine what Reagan would have done? That wildlife area would have been cleared out already. Of course, with Obama, we'd have to fill out all the EPA permits making sure no "hazardous" lead bullets were used which would poison the wildlife. Maybe that's what they are waiting on?

Hang in there ... more people are WITH you than you could ever imagine. I didn't know about Sinema ... folks like you are the only ones who will get that kind of news to us ... we darned sure won't hear it on MSM. Appreciate the post.

Thank you so much for your nice post, ThePatriotsFlag. I wanted to get the original article, but am pressed for time, can try to dig deeper a little later.

This is the post that machogirl posted on our local board — I was in shock when I read it... Reconquista.

“From the Sonoran Alliance:

Forget a July 4th Tea Party at the Capitol – Sinema reserved every single day through July 29 for SB1070 protesters

Representative Kristin Sinema reserved the House and Senate lawns at the Arizona State Capitol to allow squatters to sleep there until the 29th of July. We can now celebrate the Fourth of July at the capitol by socializing with fragrant masses protesting the rule of law. How quaint. In reality, how un-American!

You might expect that from someone as irresponsible as Sinema, who has an unblemished record of support for unpopular causes. This time, despite overwhelming voter endorsement of SB 1070, the new legislation that enables police to actually enforce existing law, Sinema wants to engage in protest, outrage-theater by collecting drifters at the Capitol. But what about Kirk Adams, the Speaker of the House, and Robert Burns, Senate President? They ought to know better, but gave their official blessings for this traveling circus. We elect people to serve us, not engage in community agitation, or so we thought.

How much it is costing to pay for the extra police manpower? We don’t have the precise number, but do know the costs are huge. What happens if there is an incident or worse? Who is liable? Why are we allowing people to sleep overnight on the Capitol grounds? It seems as if these legislators are serving some misguided ideology, while draining our wallets to create their own, private, three-ring fiasco, clowns and all.

Did you know this was happening? Neither did we, but we now know Sinema’s army will be camping out every evening so she can promote her opposition to SB 1070, the anti-illegal bill that almost everyone loves except for people who believe laws were made for breaking. It is especially galling that Sinema has sponsored her lawn “festival” even for people from California.

Rep. Sinema is violating her Oath of Office, and maybe more. 1070 was passed in the light of day and has enormous support. If she doesn’t like the bill, let her come up with a better one, but it had better address how to eliminate our burden of illegal aliens, not encourage more to come. Don’t hold your breath. Sinema wrote a bill a few years ago with mandatory sentencing to put Americans in jail if they reported the presence of illegal aliens. Yes, you read that correctly. Are you mad as hell, yet? Are you going to take it anymore?

Just Great/S Did she put port-a-pots on the lawn too?”
