GOP Rep. Joseph Cao Tells BP Executive He’d Be Asked to Commit “Hari Kari” in “Samurai Days” – Video

Here is video of Louisiana Republican Rep. Joseph Cao suggesting to BP America Executive, Lamar McKay, that in the “Asian Culture, we do things differently. During the Samurai days, we’d just give you a knife and ask you to commit Hari Kari.”

Unbelievable. Cao ought to be ashamed of himself for using his platform as a Congressman to say something like this. Encouraging BP Leaders to commit suicide is no joking matter, and it would not solve the problems in the Gulf in any way. We need some grown-ups in Congress.

Is hara kiri a Vietnamese ritual? Mr. Cao seems to be confused over his own ancestry.

Mr. Cao, we’re not in those times, and those times are not of your heritage.

That mentality, which is essentially total subservience to the State, is what got us into this trouble.

If BP had had their choice, they would have drilled in shallower waters. But the state, and our obedience to them (that is, our will to sacrifice our own intelligence and knowledge for the “common good”) forced them to drill in waters so deep that any repair to damage is all but impossible.

Perhaps he ought to change parties where he’d be right at home.

Disgusting pig.

Just another progressive displaying their zeal for control and in this case the ultimate control.

Maybe the Progressives should take their own medicine with their colossal failures...BP screw up is bad...but Progressives they destroy entire countries and are hell bent on destroying the world.
