Then answer me this...

Why the hell wasn’t the relief well about a week behind the original well?

It seems a lot of time has been lost that could have easily prevented, or at least sharply reduced the flow of hundreds of thousands of barrels into the Gulf.

The first relief well was started 12 days after the blow out.

I believe the first relief well spudded on the 4th of May. It takes time to move and moor the rig, and to line out all of the logisitcs, even on an emergency basis. As far as getting things done, they weren’t messing around.
