Cancel all your joint accounts and all credit cards. Open a new checking account today. Make sure that the soon to be ex does not use your social security number to secure utilities and telephones in the new pad. Separate your car insurance as well. If the vehicles are in both of your names, make sure that the car that she drives is registered to her, and she is paying her own insurance policy.
Do not ever reconcile. It’s disaster waiting to rain down on you.
