I live here and love NYC.

If I were a vistor here is what i would see and these following are pretty close to each other. Start out EARLY!

1. City Hall - historic Site

Proceed to

2. 60 Centre Street - famous Court house scene from Law 7 Order and Godfather. Foley Square.

Proceed to

3. Brooklyn Bridge - right next to 60 Centre Street. You can walk half way on the foot path.

Proceed to:

4. WTC center site - which is about 6 blocks away. Its more built out now than 10 years ago obviously.

Go south to Battery Park

5. go on Statue of Libery trip but go EARLY! Gets crowded.

6. Take cab up west side to the Intrepid Museum. You only need an hour there.

7. Go on the Circle Line tour. Its a boat trip around manhattan. For 39.00 its worth it.

8. If you have time, go north to Grants tomb.

Save the Time Square, Madison Square Garden, Midtown stuff for the evening.

Central park is nice, but be careful at night. Its getting crazy lately.

I dont know how long you are staying, but the Bronx Zoo and Metopolitan Museaum of Art, museaum of Nat. History, are nice to go to.

Wall Street is what it is.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, most peopel are firnedly.

Also, dont miss Grand Central Station.

Also - try to catch a Yankees Game. The new stadium is great and only a subway ride from Grand Central.

I would also rent a bike a and ride the pth along the West Side Highway.

I take my jetski down the hudson every weekend and always envision the black and white pictures of all the steam ships up and down the hudson in the harbor and imagine myself as part of that. Crazy me huh?

I would also check out Broadway just to walk around and get the feel of the hustle and bustle of the city.

and dont eat at the tourist traps! you will get ripped off!

Go to Little Italy and its not that expensive at all.

Great info! Thanks.

Next time I'm back in NYC I'll also head over to my beloved Flatiron Building.

The NY Times (blech), just had an article about this building and its tenants: A Quirky Building That Has Charmed Its Tenants
