The use of dispersants may actually be causing more problems than it is solving. It would be better for it to rise to the top, en masse, and be sucked up by ships, than to be separated into tiny glops which ‘disperse’ throughout the various thermoclines in the ocean waters.
If you ask me, the dispersements is for appearance sake only. It doesn’t LOOK as bad as globs of oil washing up. I have had a few Freepers tell me the dispersements are perfectly harmless, but then I have read that no one has EVER used this much (over one millions gallons so far) at one time. People are already becoming sick on the Gulf shores from the hydrogen sulfide. I just don’t know. I hear on the right that everything is fine and I’m sure it will be. Then I hear hysteria from some pretty respectable people that this is disaster beyond our imagination. I just don’t know what to do. I live in Georgia and this could effect us since 90% of our weather systems come up from the gulf stream.
