I beg to differ. I hold a significant amount of BP stock, too, as a legacy of sorts. The relief wells are a way to get past any pssible damage or lack of well seal and keep this welll producing.

No, they will attempt to kill this well via the relief wells. Not sure what your ownership of BP stock has to do with that?

Someone who is obviously well-informed on the industry or works in it said that the relief wells, because of the angle, are not suitable to be producing wells. The damage caused by erosion from sand rules out their long term viability. I can’t explain it, just repeat it.
