Political novices generally make poor candidates for federal office. It is not that they are dumb, it is that they are not used to the 24/7 news-cycle. Think of H. Ross Perots unsteady campaign. Furthermore, novices do not understand that a media that loved them when they were running HP, will not love them when they are a Republican nominee for the Senate.
Carly Fiorina is an impressive woman. She had to be in order to reach the top of a tech giant in the Silicon Valley, but she did not understand that the media would be out to get her in the race against Senate liberal lioness Barbara Boxer (D-Mordor).
Boxer is one of the most loathsome creatures in the US Senate. She won her seat against a great guy, Bruce Herschensohn, when a mini-scandal in Herschensohn's life became public. Again: the media.
Boxer may well benefit from Carly's swipe against her hair-style being so "yesterday" (so woman really are this catty?), but it is Boxer's politics that are truly so yesterday. Is there any liberal fad she does not embrace? Condemnation of Bush? Check. Support for labor unions and the bankruptcy of California? Check? Affirmative action and abortion support? Check.
However, Boxer takes it a step further by insisting that the number one national security issue facing America is carbon monoxide. Since you breathe out CO2, YOU are the biggest threat to Americas safety. Say, could it be that Boxer's frizzy hair is a result of global warming, humidity and wind? That might explain her politics.
I hope that Fiorina finds her footing by November and focuses on the real issues that are destroying the once-great state of California...

“However, Boxer takes it a step further by insisting that the number one national security issue facing America is carbon monoxide. Since you breathe out CO2, YOU are the biggest threat to Americas safety.”
Wouldn’t that be carbon dioxide?
Is she serious? Carbon monoxide only kills a few dozen people per year, and most cases of exposure result from faulty heaters or stoves.
Yep.
Typo: she said carbon dioxide is the biggest threat to national security.
I realize this was unplanned but when I heard it and thought about the Dems running Boxer and Jerry Brown I think the phrase “They are so yesterday” is a great theme.
Hmmm, should Fiorina really be making comments about anyone’s hair??
Carly just went through Chemotherapy. It plays havoc with ones hair. Anyways that was thought to be a private comment and not for public consumption. I can just imagine what Boxer says in private.
I thought it was funny. The ‘rats really cannot any criticism.
“I can just imagine what Boxer says in private.”
I would bet it is all small words.
Most liberals say it, and never get called on it.
Yeah, one-syllable words.
Fiorina did all Republican candidates, everywhere, a big favor by reminding them that they are, likely, always being recorded. Even here in Kansas, the Democrats have hired a bunch of forlorn kids with videocams to trail around after the Republicans.
Fiorina should take good look at Meg Whitman’s hair do.
That one looks like 12-year old girl in public school.
With all the billions she has she looks terrible.
Besides, Carly should not be bringing up hairdo’s.

In my 55 years I don't recall The Swirly being a very popular doo.

Unfortunately, Queen Bee doesn't need to do any campaigning.....she's got the safest seat in the senate.
